Its popularity was enhanced by the cross-platform support that allowed users to play with their friends across all devices. Developed by the Roblox Corporation, the game went on to win gaming awards to solidify its popular status.

Roblox is as ancient as they come, with the game releasing way back in 2006. Yet somehow, Roblox, like Minecraft, has maintained a cult status in terms of popularity among hardcore gamers.

Parallels can be drawn between Roblox and Minecraft in relation to the two games providing multiplayer and interaction platforms along with the option of building a community in-game, features that were not present in games of the yesteryears.
